A Sleeping Ferriswheel.
Okay.
This semester is nearing the end. And it has been a tough one. Very tough.
I have been drawing and sewing a lot more this past month, and these works-in-progress are happily moving around in my studio. (I don't mean on their own...that would be creepy.) My Etsy sabbatical will continue a while longer; not because of laziness or busy-ness or lack of work...I just need to make work for myself for a while, without sharing it with the universe immediately. Does this make sense to anyone?
Also thinking about summertime, far-away-friends, adopting a cat, race-horses, sugar-lift, LOST, getting my hair cut, organizing my closets, and saving money.

20th Century Props.
Yesterday I visited 20th Century Props in North Hollywood, which is going out of business. It was an adventurous two hours.
You should totally go visit.

I haven't told you about...
...the book that I made for the Art House's most recent Sketchbook Project. This book is on tour at the moment, but eventually will be a part of the Brooklyn Art Library in New York. (So you'll be able to go visit it, and I believe my Wisdom Teeth book is still kickin' around there as well. If not, I have no idea where it is.)
Here are some more crumby photos:
The theme given to me was "Danger, Danger."
Many many holes drilled through the pages...
All the sketchbook pages tied closed...
And in the center, a small sculptural book with points.
There's plenty more I could say about this piece, but I'd rather hear what you think.
My little book, (along with many, many others) will be at Art and Shelter Gallery in Los Angeles, April 10 and 11.
